掃金是精品包裝印刷中的一個(gè)特殊的工藝過程，在商品包裝或標(biāo)簽印刷品上指定部位附著特種金屬粉末，借此實(shí)現(xiàn)金光閃爍的仿金效果。

經(jīng)多色印刷生產(chǎn)后得到可供掃金的印刷品，再將需要掃金印成精品的印張傳輸給單色或雙色膠印機(jī)，在需要掃金的部位印涂粘膠性底墨，然后直接傳送到掃金機(jī)，將特制金粉擦涂壓入底膠，就完成了掃金過程。如果印刷廠家擁有一臺(tái)多色印刷機(jī)和UV干燥裝置，則可以進(jìn)行聯(lián)機(jī)掃金，即是將印張?jiān)诙嗌∷C(jī)前幾個(gè)色印刷好并經(jīng)UV裝置的充分干燥，然后在后一個(gè)色組上印涂粘性底墨，再通過連接裝置進(jìn)入掃金機(jī)進(jìn)行掃金。以上情況在不需要掃金時(shí)，都可以在幾分鐘之內(nèi)將掃金設(shè)備與印刷機(jī)分離，從而印刷機(jī)又可以進(jìn)行普通印刷。

In the above case, the gold cleaning equipment can be separated from the printer in a few minutes without sweeping gold, so that the printer can carry out ordinary printing.

印金和燙金作為一種廣泛使用的工藝，有很多優(yōu)點(diǎn)，但是，也有些不足。比如，凹印機(jī)印金速度快，但是印制小字、細(xì)線時(shí)變形相對(duì)較嚴(yán)重，大面積印金時(shí)金屬質(zhì)感不夠強(qiáng)烈；燙金作為一種傳統(tǒng)工藝，金屬感也很強(qiáng)，但是能耗較高，效率相對(duì)較低，套準(zhǔn)有些困難，很小圖形和很大面積燙金的，質(zhì)量不易控制。而掃金工藝，操作比較簡(jiǎn)單，生產(chǎn)速度較高，成本較低，而且無論圖紋粗細(xì)、面積大小都能獲得較精細(xì)的效果。同時(shí)，由于采用全封閉式工作方式，所以沒有環(huán)境污染。其實(shí)，掃金與燙金結(jié)合往往能取得更佳的效果。

通常需要一臺(tái)平張雙色膠印機(jī)與掃金機(jī)聯(lián)接。掃金機(jī)設(shè)計(jì)了新型折疊翻轉(zhuǎn)式的單張紙傳送器，可輕松地展開、收起。當(dāng)二者需聯(lián)機(jī)時(shí)，展開單張紙傳送器；當(dāng)雙色膠印機(jī)需單獨(dú)印制其它產(chǎn)品時(shí)，可收起單張紙傳送器。我們利用印品的分色底片，制作出用于掃金機(jī)用的PS版，安裝在膠印機(jī)上，通過調(diào)整膠印機(jī)的規(guī)矩，可方便地完成套準(zhǔn)工作。利用PS印版在印品需要上金粉的部位印上一層薄而均勻的粘性油墨（俗稱“掃金涂底”）。

By adjusting the rules of the offset press, we can easily complete the alignment work. A thin and uniform viscous ink (commonly known as "sweeping gold coating") is printed on the part where gold powder is needed by PS plate.
